Together TV is the TV channel which helps viewers channel their inner good to bring about a world where people and their communities thrive together. Through its national TV channel and digital platform, the not-for-profit Community Benefit Society helps people find inspiration to do good in their lives and communities. It programmes entertaining shows that focus on wellbeing, creativity, and the essence of British life, while highlighting the great work of the charitable and voluntary sector. In doing so, it opens its audience’s eyes to the opportunities around them and motivates them to take part in bringing about change in society.
Available 24-hours-a-day and operating since 2000, Together TV is the first supporter-owned national TV channel. Over 30 million people around the world engaged with its content in 2021 and viewers reflect that its programmes inspired them to do more in their local communities, from volunteering for a charity, to getting involved in a creative project, or fundraising for a cause close to their heart.
Together TV is powered by support from over 20 leading media companies, including Arqiva, Sky, BBC, ITV, Facebook, and Salesforce. It also receives support from other public service broadcasters, platform operators, web giants, and newspaper groups, who provide pro bono spectrum, content, and marketing support. It works with leading causes and campaigns, and partners with charities and social enterprises to drive social impact.
Since its rebranding in January 2018, Together TV has seen exciting growth in audience, income, and impact. It now has a sustainable income model and reaches millions each week through its free-to-air TV channel, streaming, digital, and social channels. Over the next five years, Together TV plans to significantly scale its audiences, engagement, and social impact. It will build on its growing TV and social media audiences by expanding its new streaming service and mass-participation engagement campaigns.
