Unicorn AIM VCT was launched in November 2001 to allow investors the opportunity to benefit from generous tax reliefs while investing in growth companies listed mainly on the AIM market. The board sought to appoint a new Non-Executive Director who would bring early stage/high growth investment experience, publicly-quoted company board experience and, ideally, prior VCT board experience.
In eight days Nurole identified Timothy Woodcock, an experienced NED and Finance Director for companies including Urban Dining Plc and Capital Management and Investment Plc as well as roles at Punch Taverns PLC and Sun Capital Partners. In 2008 Tim Co-Founded Oakfield Capital Partners, a private equity firm investing in fast-growing UK smaller companies. He is currently Director of Jolly Fine Pubs Ltd and Secure Parking and Storage Ltd. He is also an elected Councillor for the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames.
